Summary

Persephone and Hades are engaged。 In retaliation, Demeter summons a snowstorm that cripples New Greece, and refuses to lift the blizzard unless her daughter calls off her engagement。

When the Olympians intervene, Persephone finds her future in the hands of ancient gods, and they are divided。 Do they allow Persephone to marry Hades and go to war with Demeter or prohibit their union and take up arms against the God of the Dead?

Nothing is certain but the promise of war。

This book has EVERYTHING。 I laughed and cried and healed and broke。 In her beautifully crafted world, the stakes could not be higher and yet they are very grounded in our reality。 The relationships are deeper, the trauma more visceral, the spice more palpable。 I came for an escape and found myself more connected。 If you know her work, you already want to read this book, but I still felt compelled to say something。

I loved this book。 It was my favourite of the series so far! The character building for Persephone is brilliant, she has evolved so much from the beginning but still ultimately stays true to her morals。This book definitely had me feeling all sorts of emotions。 I’ve just read it as quickly as I could, I can’t wait to reread it again very soon。 I am very sad that I have to now wait for the next one though。。。。

There was way too much smut, way too little plot, and a lot of bad writing, including the attempts at PTSD。 Practically nothing of true importance happened until the last 5% or so, and even that wasn't as exciting as it could have been。 In short, whilst this was certainly better than the previous two novels in this universe I was still straight up not having a good time and though objectively it's not the worst thing I've ever read, I couldn't rate it any higher given how done I was reading this There was way too much smut, way too little plot, and a lot of bad writing, including the attempts at PTSD。 Practically nothing of true importance happened until the last 5% or so, and even that wasn't as exciting as it could have been。 In short, whilst this was certainly better than the previous two novels in this universe I was still straight up not having a good time and though objectively it's not the worst thing I've ever read, I couldn't rate it any higher given how done I was reading this。 I do have to admit that I skimmed the majority of it, especially with all the sex scenes, but even given that I don't think I missed anything of importance。 。。。more

Well, I got what I wanted in the first place after reading the second book, A Touch of Ruin。 I wanted more development on Persephone's character。 BUT the plot definitely disappoint me。The only good thing that happen in this story is the changes in Persephone's character just like I said in the beginning。 She's started to control and learn her powers, become the goddess she's meant to be and seems to be more mature compare to the first two books which is great。 Other than that, I really like Pers Well, I got what I wanted in the first place after reading the second book, A Touch of Ruin。 I wanted more development on Persephone's character。 BUT the plot definitely disappoint me。The only good thing that happen in this story is the changes in Persephone's character just like I said in the beginning。 She's started to control and learn her powers, become the goddess she's meant to be and seems to be more mature compare to the first two books which is great。 Other than that, I really like Persephone and Hermes friendship which is funny and compassionate and actually bring something more to the plot。 While I really like that there's development in Persephone's character but there's nothing significant happen except for the last three chapters of the book which seems ridiculous after reading such lengthy book and personally I don't have any problem with reading lengthy books as long as it has a great plot。 But this one makes me feel disappointed after spending hours reading it。 There's actually so much going on in this story like Demeter's winter rage that causing a lot of casualties and someone mysterious out there killing god and goddess。 But, the book doesn't even explored much of that instead it's filled with Hades and Persephone smut scene。 At first it's fine but after so many times reading it, it reaches to the point of boredom。 Take out all the smut scenes from this book and this book can ended up being around 200 pages。To think I have high hopes for this book is a wrong thing to do。 But after reading this far, it feels like I don't have much a choice than to read the next book after that kind of cliffhanger (even though it feels forced)。 Hopefully the fourth book will be the last of the series。 Honestly, this book could have been so much better if only the plot contained more than just smut scenes。 。。。more

Take this review and rating with a grain of salt because I’m pretty sure I was tipsy while reading most of this book, but I feel like this was an improvement on the previous books! This book was amazing! I read all of St。 Clair's "Touch" books in 4 days。 The plot of this one really drew you in, super action packed。 The love scenes were really well written and tasteful。 Super excited for Chaos and to read Hades' POV!Definitely pick these up if you are a fan of Greek Mythology! What was this? This was totally different from the first two。 It was messy, jagged and seriously underwhelming until you got to 70% of the book。 Then *some* kind of plot picked up。 The amount of grammatical errors was honestly embarrassing。 Like it was last minute。 I don’t know- I’m just disappointed 😞

I enjoyed it。 The story was far more plot driven than character driven in this book。 And the development was quite intense。 Preparing for battle from an external force, Hades and Persophene navigate their relationship through Persophene's Trauma and the Olympians Drama。™Mysterious, Deathly and Sweet, it was great like the rest of the series。Persophene turns badass。 Hades is Hot。 Hermes is a darling and Apollo, APOLLO IS CUTE。 I enjoyed it。 The story was far more plot driven than character driven in this book。 And the development was quite intense。 Preparing for battle from an external force, Hades and Persophene navigate their relationship through Persophene's Trauma and the Olympians Drama。™Mysterious, Deathly and Sweet, it was great like the rest of the series。Persophene turns badass。 Hades is Hot。 Hermes is a darling and Apollo, APOLLO IS CUTE。 。。。more

Persephone was still way too jealous for how far along we are now but overall, she was a lot more tolerable。 Don’t get me wrong, her relationship with Hades is still toxic AF and at times reading about them was tedious but for all the cringy moments, there were some truly sweet ones scattered throughout。 Also I’m just riding for Hades so you know, I’m hanging in there for him。 This book also has a far clearer plot than the previous two which thankfully, does not only revolve around our lovers。 The introduction of Olympus and the other gods was absolutely delightful and I loved seeing the political dynamics play out while learning more about the gods behind the power。 An impending war and some asshole rebels brings some much needed tension to this book and I thought the execution and build up of these elements was well paced。 Very smartly, we also get to see how Persephone’s moral compass begins to influence the other gods。 There were some clear shifts in allegiances in this and it created some very tense and wildly dark moments that I was here for。 Before I wrap this up, I just need to take a few minutes to talk about my man Hermes。 Hermes is that shit stirring friend that will throw you under the bus one minute and then defend your honour the next。 He is devilishly charming and I smiled every time he popped up。 That never have I ever scene had me in fits and I couldn’t wait for him to appear again。 I also really loved that Apollo softens in this book and we get to learn more about his fears and what drives him to be this cocky bastard we’ve come to know。100% the best book in this series to date, St。 Clair has done a fantastic job of creating a really character driven story where the threat of war looms over every decision they make。 Flew through it and I’m not even mad。 。。。more

So。。。where should I start? At the end of the second book, I hoped that this one would show me a new Persephone, no more victim but fighter。。。well,it does not。。。I cannot understand 90% of her actions during the book。。。even if actions is a big word because nothing happen in this book until the very last two chapters。 I understand the editorial choice behind this, but it drives me crazy。 I understand that Hades and Persephone love each other, but I was hoping to see more and I did not。

This was the most frustrating book (in the best way)。 I could have finished this book in a hour or two but had to take breaks to pace around the room。 This book was definitely more sad and violent then the others。 I should have expected that because of all the trauma in the last one。 It is a major pet peeve of mine when characters use trauma as a character trait instead of healing throughout the story- so I appreciate Hades & Persephone working through it。

Beautifully written! Definitely my favorite of the series so far。 There are some many amazing things in this book, but we get time with our favorite couple Hades and Persephone, happily engaged。 Living the dream life together, as they traverse the world through possible War and Uprising。 It keeps you on the edge of your seat and makes you instantly want more and to read it all over again!

I was blown away by this book。 Spoiler-free review。 My favorite books are those that show character development and those that make me cry。 There are many instances here where Persephone is dealing with grief and many of the passages really resonated with me。 "Now she knew the truth - grief meant never going back, it meant never collecting the pieces。 It meant that the person she was now in the aftermath of [redacted]'s death was who she would be until the next death。。。 Grief was a cruel god。" P I was blown away by this book。 Spoiler-free review。 My favorite books are those that show character development and those that make me cry。 There are many instances here where Persephone is dealing with grief and many of the passages really resonated with me。 "Now she knew the truth - grief meant never going back, it meant never collecting the pieces。 It meant that the person she was now in the aftermath of [redacted]'s death was who she would be until the next death。。。 Grief was a cruel god。" Persephone has grown so much over the past two books and I've never been prouder of a fictional character。 I'm just blown away by this book。 Also, there is some mystery (people are being attacked。 Who is doing it), dealing with a narcissistic parent, dealing with PTSD, and there are some really funny scenes and some 🔥🔥scenes。 I highly recommend this book and series!!
